Fibromyalgia Defined and Its Symptoms

Fibromyalgia is a syndrome characterized by chronic pain in the muscles and soft tissues surrounding your joints, tenderness at specific areas of the body and fatigue.  The most common areas that fibromyalgia affect are the neck, back, shoulders, pelvic girdle and hands.  Fibromyalgia affects about 3-6% of the United States population.  It is most commonly found in women of all ages but can also be found in men and children.  Fibromyalgia not only affects the person with the pain it also affects their family and friends.  Due to the severe pain caused by fibromyalgia a person's mood may be severely affected, they may become more irritable and depressed which may cause a toll on their relationships.

Although no one really knows what causes fibromyalgia, researchers have been looking into it and have come up with a few instances that may bring on fibromyalgia.  For example, it could be brought on by an infectious illness, some type of physical or emotional trauma, any muscle abnormalities or even hormonal changes.

Some of the symptoms of fibromyalgia are: pain, fatigue and sleep problems.  Pain is the strongest symptom because it is widespread and chronic.  The pain can be described as throbbing, shooting pains and deep aching of the muscles.  Contributing factors to the pain may be cold weather, fatigue, too much physical activity, anxiety and stress.  Fatigue is also very apparent in patients with this problem.  It is not the type of fatigue that an everyday person experiences, it is a type of fatigue that is so exhausting it limits the patient's ability to function.  Due to this type of fatigue many patients are unable to work or even do many physical activities such as walking and driving.  The final symptom that is commonly found is sleep problems.  Many times the pain is so strong that patients are not able to fall into a deep sleep because they are constantly awaken by the pain they are feeling.

Many patients use medication to ease the pain that fibromyalgia brings, however, here at Delta Life International we have an all-natural formula that can help ease the pain you are feeling.  Our Flexitol formula is an all-natural supplement that helps strengthen and maintain bone and joint health while helping the body's response to pain.  Fibromyalgia can be very painful and instead of putting medication into your body you should try Flexitol and see how great the results will be.
